How to Write a Captivating Horse Property Listing That Generates Sales
Whether you’re an independent seller, an estate agent or private auctioneer, everybody in the horse estate and property industry is in competition with one another.
Of course, in short, you’re trying to sell to someone, which is difficult enough as it is, let alone a property that costs hundreds of thousands of dollars, possibly even millions, that’s going to be one of the biggest decisions your customer is going to make.
It can be quite a scary and daunting prospect but, with the right amount of effort and care and attention to detail in your first impression, you can instantly start generating leads and sales. Of course, we’re talking about your property description.
Be Yourself
No, this isn’t a self-help article but consider what connotations you already have for what a property description may already look like. Maybe this is the format your colleagues or your competitors use, but that doesn’t mean you need to be like them.
When writing a property description, always remember to be yourself, have your own style and formatting and whatever feels best to you. This will make your writing style, and language come across a lot more natural, and therefore inviting, to your potential customer, says Darren Smart, a writer from Elite Assignment Help.
Use Structure
However, the point above doesn’t mean that you can use a tried and tested structure when it comes to your description. There is a formula that works time and time again and ensures your customers have all the information they need.
This goes something like;
- Headline
- Opening Paragraph
- List of features (Description)
- Any promotional information
- Call to action, your contact details
Feel free to edit this how you please, but this structure reads well, is nicely laid out and contains all the information and sales material that you could want.
Write a Catchy Headline
The headline is the absolute first thing that your customers are going to see which is why it’s so important to spend time in creating the perfect one for each of your horse properties.
The key to success here is to create a headline that will stand out from the crowd and will set itself apart from the rest, helping to draw your customer’s attention. Remember, you only have a second or two to catch someone’s eye so make it count!
Use Visual Words
When it comes to actually describing your property, try to help the customer see themselves on your property. You could even go as far as writing a mini story to guide the readers around your property.
Instead of stating that you have about 10 acres, why not say something along the lines of Imagine strolling throughout your 10 acres of beautiful fenced, wooded and manicured land, after all, is there a better way to start every day?
This may seem over the top, especially when compared to other basic descriptions, but is your description a basic one or are you trying to sell your horse property?
Use Tools for Perfect Product Descriptions
If you’re reading through a product description and it’s full of spelling mistakes, typos and other errors, would you trust the seller to sell you a property worth the amount of money that you’re asking for? Probably not.
