Horse Properties For Sale WA

img Often referred to by its full title, Washington State, to distinguish it from, Washington D.C. offers rugged coastline, deserts, forests, mountains, volcanoes, and hundreds of coastal islands to explore. The Cascade Mountains divide the state, with the damp forested coastal areas to the west, and pine forests, deserts and irrigated farmland of the Columbia River Plateu to the east. It is the adjacent to Canada.

The 2022 United States Census recorded the state's population at 7,784,477. Approximately 60 percent of Washington's residents live in the Seattle Metrolpolitan area, the center of transportation, business, industry along the Puget Sound.  Washington's climate varies greatly from west to east. An Oceanic climate (also called "west coast marine climate") predominates in western Washington, and a much drier climate prevails east of the Cascade Range.

Western Washington is known for its mild climate, considerable fog, frequent cloud cover and long-lasting drizzles in the winter, and sunny and dry summers. The western side of the Olympic Peninsula receives as much as 160 inches (4,100 mm) of precipitation annually, making it the wettest area of the 48 conterminous states.

img

The state's nickname "Evergreen" was proposed in 1890 by Charles T. Conover of Seattle, Washington. The name proved popular as the forests were full of evergreen trees and the abundance of rain keeps the shrubbery and grasses green throughout the year.

Washington has over 1,000 dams, built for a variety of purposes including irrigation, power, flood control, and water storage

1000 PINES EQUESTRIAN MOUNTAIN RANCH

Ellensburg, Kittitas County, Washington

If horseback riding is your thing, I don't know if there could be a better place in Washington to do it? A virtually unlimited area to ride on your own land here, within the community and the vast (200 square mile/1,000,000-acre+) DNR state property, with private community access, right next door. ONE OF THE BEST RANCH VALUES IN THE NATION IN REGARD TO A PROPERTY THIS SIZE & THE SELLER WILL LIKELY PRICE-MATCH ANY COMPARABLE LISTED PROPERTY (*criteria in supplements). Highly unlikely you’d find a comparable equestrian ranch of this magnitude at this price, anywhere in the country though, let alone just 2 HRS from Seattle with pavement all the way to the property. Start here with the gorgeous (shy 50-acre) parcel, seasonal creek & abundant wildlife. A beautiful log home, barn & pumphouse in the park-like setting already in place @5726 SQ FT (total covered). Add a private gated entry, bridge, circular driveway, stables, fencing, 20 GPM private well & last but not least - a 4X4 trail that leads you from the home, thru the Ponderosa Pine Tree Forest, to your very own private mountain top w/ breathtaking 360-degree views! Call for more info, then bring an offer before this extraordinarily rare gem is gone. The owner appropriately refers to this property as: “THOUSAND PINES MOUNTAIN RANCH” (TPMR). As the names suggest, TPMR is located on a beautiful (49.85 acre) mountainous property unlike any other. The lower portion of the land is forested with only a small fraction of the wind there, compared to the typical windy Ellensburg property. The upper portion of the land is mostly treeless, all of which has expansive views. A fully permitted 4X4 trail has been created that leads from the front door of the home, up 600’ in elevation to the top of your very own mountain. At the top of the mountain (3630’ elevation) a spectacular & everchanging view awaits, including views of Mt Adams & Mt Ranier. The highest point for miles at the top with a generous flat area (around 1-acre) to take in the unobstructed 360-degree view. In addition to the 4X4 trail, there are miles of animal trails leading throughout the property, in & out of the trees, for hiking and exploration. LOCATION: TPMR is located out away from town in Secret Canyon and within the Elkhorn Ranch community consisting of thirty, 50-acre ranch parcels. About 20 miles to downtown Ellensburg form TPMR yet still, just two hours from Seattle. It is almost unheard of to have pavement lead all the way to the edge of a parcel this size unless it is on a busy highway, but this one does have a quiet private paved road leading all the way to the entrance to TPMR. Although the community HOA does not condone hunting on any of its ranch parcels, TPMR is just footsteps from a private access point to one of largest DNR lands in Washington (about 1,000,000-acres+-) where hunting & shooting are allowed. This immense DNR land stretches all the way east to the Columbia River & all the way north to Wenatchee. In addition, TPMR is just 45 minutes from “World Class Wines & Performances” at the Cave-B winery/resort & The Gorge Amphitheatre. SETTING: Once at the entrance to TPMR, you will pass through the automated front gate, go over a substantial bridge then the barn & stables will be on your left. A circular drive goes all the way around the structures so pick either right or left at the barn & it will lead you to the home nestled in the park-like setting. About 1/2-acre of fully sprinklered, lush green grass, surround the home and a tree house in place to boot. The north border of TPMR & private paved road parallel the seasonal Caribou Creek which is very active in the spring/early summer then, it usually dries up by the first part of July through the Fall. TPMR is surrounded by Pine Trees and the beautiful canyon topography. It looks & smells more like Sunriver/Bend Oregon than Ellensburg in general. It is an outdoors persons paradise with endless activities. The dark skies in Secret Canyon make this a star gazing paradise as well.
